Educational Cruises

As a Boomer, you are probably interested in interesting things, things that tickle your mind and tease your brain. What better way to combine learning with pleasure than an Educational Cruise? The number of learning cruises has been increasing every year, with offerings by traditional educational-travel groups like Smithsonian Journeys, Elderhostel and college alumni groups, and large cruise lines like Cunard, Geek Cruises and Crystal Cruises.

What can you study while cruising? A multitude of subjects, including history of espionage during the Cold War, economics, digital photography and photo editing, chess, computer topics, art, crafts of various kinds, investing, architecture, ancient engineering, the Middle East and Islam, health and wellness, antique collecting, languages, scrapbooking, golf lessons, global warming / climate change...the list goes on and on.

Your spouse or significant other may not share your interest, but that's OK because there is always plenty to do on a cruise.

Check with any of the organizations listed above, or with a travel agent, to learn what educational opportunities exist in a field that interests you.
